Description

You will lead the mechanical design of high-power electrical assemblies for electric aircraft, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve challenges like thermal management, HV isolation, and structural integrity. Your designs go from blank sheet to production, and you'll oversee prototype builds and testing.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree
• 4+ years relevant Mechanical Design experience
• Proven ability designing high voltage electronic assemblies from concept to production
• Strong analytical skills in structural analysis, thermals, heat transfer, materials
• Experience with NX CAD, GD&T, design for manufacturing, and FEA tools (STAR CCM, ANSYS, COMSOL)

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of high power electrical assemblies from blank sheet to complete design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for vehicle performance
• Solve electric propulsion design challenges (thermal management, HV isolation, shock/vibration, EMI)
• Complete detailed design of components (housings, brackets, insulation, connectors, fasteners)
• Develop engineering test plans, create drawings, manage suppliers, and lead prototype builds and testing
