💼 About This Role

You'll design sheet metal components and assemblies for the Mainspring Linear Generator. Your work will directly impact cost, reliability, and manufacturability of a flameless, near-zero NOx power generation technology. You'll collaborate across teams to bring innovative designs from concept to production.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Take ownership of design, analysis, testing, and optimization of structural systems.
• Apply sheet metal and joint design knowledge for complex assemblies.
• Perform FEA analyses to inform design improvements.
• Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis for robust manufacturable designs.
• Support procurement, fabrication, and testing of parts.

📋 Requirements

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 6+ years (BS) or 5+ years (MS) experience.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, manufacturing, fastener, joint, coating.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and PDM or similar CAD version control.
• Experience with FEA and CFD tools (SolidWorks Flow Simulation or Ansys).

• Familiarity with forming analysis tools for DFM.
• Experience across full product development cycle.
• Experience with vibration and acoustic challenges.
