💼 About This Role

You'll provide strategic legal support primarily to the Commercial Banking division, advising on commercial lending, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Your work will help preserve the Bank's reputation for integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Provide legal analysis and transactional support for commercial real estate and secured lending
• Advise on deal structuring, intercreditor arrangements, and security protection
• Assist with internal governance, policy development, and training initiatives
• Support new product development and strategic initiatives identifying legal implications

📋 Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized law school (LL.B. or J.D.)
• Called to the Ontario Bar and member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario
• 4-6 years' post-call experience in commercial banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of Canadian banking laws, lending practices, and regulatory frameworks

• Proficiency in French
