💼 About This Role

You'll ship production security detections on real log data for Lambda's AI cloud infrastructure. You'll partner with a senior mentor and frontier LLMs to learn and build fast. This is not a sandbox project—your code fires on real events.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Ship production detections using real log data to identify security gaps.
• Use LLMs to learn codebases, schemas, and threat models.
• Build classifiers and rule-based detections that create actionable alerts.
• Document detections for on-call engineers.
• Present work to security team and leadership.

📋 Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related field, returning to school after summer.
• Independent technical projects shipped (side projects, open source, hackathons).
• Fluency in at least one general-purpose language (Go or Python preferred).
• Ability to fuzzy problems into scoped, shippable work.

✨ Nice to Have

• Prior software engineering internship.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) or systems-level programming.
• Experience with log data or stream processing.
