Description

You will lead a team of welders and technicians building thermal protection subassemblies for Starship, the world’s most powerful rocket. Your work will drive high-quality standards, grow welding expertise, and keep downstream integration supplied at increasing launch rates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/associate degree or 5+ years welding experience (GTAW, FCAW, GMAW etc.)
• 2+ years leadership experience
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.6, D1.2 preferred
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, GD&T, assembly procedures
• Willing to work overtime and weekends

Responsibilities

• Manage hourly workforce of welders and technicians
• Deliver daily work assignments and oversee personnel development
• Create and maintain tight production schedule with clear assignments
• Track shop floor metrics to maximize delivery rate and yield
• Collaborate with management and engineering to optimize production line
