💼 About This Role

You'll own and execute interconnection strategy for generation and large load projects, with a primary focus on ERCOT. You'll provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, ensuring solutions are technically sound and strategically aligned. This role sits at the intersection of engineering rigor, system planning, and cross-functional partnership.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end generator and large load interconnection processes from development to COD
  • Develop and execute interconnection strategies aligned with investment roadmap
  • Serve as primary point of contact with utilities, ERCOT, and stakeholders
  • Review and interpret interconnection study results, including feasibility and system impact studies

📋 Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with an IPP, project developer, ISO/RTO, utility, or power systems consulting firm
  • Demonstrated experience with interconnection studies and transmission planning in ERCOT
  • Working knowledge of FERC, NERC, and ISO/RTO interconnection requirements
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of: PSLF, PowerWorld, PSSE, PSCAD, TARA, or ASPEN

  • Experience supporting large load interconnections and non-traditional use cases
  • Direct experience with transmission and distribution interconnection tariffs in key markets, specifically ERCOT
