Description

You will support the implementation of modern identity strategies to secure access across Marqeta's cloud-native systems. You'll assist with identity and access controls, IAM improvements, and automation of identity lifecycle processes. This is a 12-week internship program.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Foundational knowledge of IAM principles and authentication/authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and security challenges in cloud-native environments
• Eagerness to learn and take ownership in a fast-paced fintech environment
• Nice-to-have: experience with Okta, scripting (Python, Go), AWS IAM, or security certifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring identity and access controls for AWS cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications
• Contribute to IAM projects focusing on Okta configurations, SSO, MFA, and Privileged Access Management
• Support securing third-party vendor integrations and ensuring compliance with identity security policies
• Help automate identity lifecycle processes (provisioning/de-provisioning) using Okta
• Document security policies, procedures, and standards for identity management
