You will build forecasting and analysis tooling that directly support our investment strategies, working closely with investment teams to translate market insights into software systems. Collaborate with quantitative peers in a fast-paced environment to capture the firm's unique understanding of volatile electricity markets.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Advanced skills in at least one programming language, ideally Python
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to structure and deliver work effectively
- Comfort working both individually and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn about energy markets
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of ownership, resilience, and adaptability
- Ability to work in person on a hybrid schedule (three days per week in-office) in our DC office
Responsibilities
- Build forecasting and analysis tooling that directly support our investment strategies
- Develop expertise in energy markets by working closely with our investment teams
- Collaborate with investment analysts to understand market analysis workflows and translate desired outcomes into software solutions
- Own the product lifecycle for forecasting and analysis tools, including scoping, design, implementation, testing, and enhancement
- Debug and troubleshoot issues with focus on root cause analysis and robust solutions
- Lead product discovery conversations with stakeholders to identify opportunities for new tools
