Description

You will lead the design and implementation of a new AI-ready data architecture, enabling critical customer-facing AI features. You'll collaborate with product and engineering teams to define data platform best practices, mentor engineers, and drive innovation in the summer camp technology space.

Requirements

• Experience architecting and implementing data systems for use with AI at scale
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and set technical direction
• Passion for mentoring and rolling out data engineering best practices
• Deep experience with cloud data platforms (warehouse, lakehouse, streaming, serving-layer patterns)
• Experience with AI tooling to significantly accelerate engineering work

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for an AI-ready data platform including data modeling, orchestration, transformation, serving, metadata, and governance
• Partner with Product to design and implement AI-powered customer features
• Define and roll out AI-first data engineering best practices across teams
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar for data platform design
• Balance short-term experimentation with long-term platform maintainability
