Description

As a Senior Software Security Engineer, you will own and evolve the technical strategy for Kentik's application and software security programs. You will design and build preventative controls, internal tools, and frameworks to embed security into the SDLC, acting as a bridge between Application Security and Software Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering and/or Security Engineering
• Strong proficiency in a modern programming language (Python, Go, or Node.js)
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and real-world exploitability
• Experience with Linux, containers/Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code in AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proven senior-level impact across multiple systems or teams

Responsibilities

• Evolve secure SDLC strategy and define security standards from design to deployment
• Design and implement automated security guardrails in CI/CD pipelines
• Lead analysis and resolution of complex vulnerabilities, designing durable fixes
• Lead threat management automation and respond to security incidents
• Build and maintain internal security tools and frameworks for engineering teams
