💼 About This Role

You'll join Upstart's Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting team, supporting SEC filings and US GAAP compliance for an AI lending marketplace. Your work directly impacts financial transparency for a fast-growing public company. You'll collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams on complex technical accounting matters.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Assist in preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and supporting documentation
• Maintain and update filings within SEC reporting platform including XBRL
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities for revenue, stock-based compensation, etc.
• Perform technical accounting analysis and documentation for new standards

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of SEC reporting or public accounting experience
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or related field

✨ Nice to Have

• CPA or equivalent experience
• Experience in financial services industry
• Experience with Workiva, Netsuite, or Intelligize
