Description

You will lead Nuro's safety function, setting vision and strategy for safety standards and Safety Management Systems. You'll manage a team of cross-functional safety experts, advise executive leadership, and represent the company externally on safety matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or safety-related discipline
• 10+ years experience in safety for complex high-reliability domains
• Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary safety teams for safety-critical systems
• Expert in safety standards, SMS design, and safety argumentation
• Technical experience with hands-on work in SW, HW, and Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the safety team, oversee safety standards and SMS experts
• Establish and champion safety vision, policies, and KPIs
• Develop and improve company-wide safety management system and assurance framework
• Advise executive leadership on risk, compliance, and safety strategy
• Interface with regulatory bodies, industry consortia, and safety certification agencies
