💼 About This Role

You'll lead phonics and math workshops for elementary students in DREAM's REAL Kids program, creating a culminating project. You'll mentor college-age Youth Workers as aspiring educators, and contribute to educational equity in East Harlem and South Bronx communities.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Plan and teach ELA and Math using Science of Reading and Constructivist Learning Theory.
• Mentor 2-3 college-age Youth Workers using an SEL curriculum.
• Use data to prepare effectively and meet the needs of all learners.
• Monitor breakfast, lunch, and recess; implement health and safety protocols.

📋 Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to provide ELA and math instruction to groups of elementary students.
• At least two years of lead teaching experience preferred.
• Strong ability to engage students in a classroom environment.
• Must work in-person at the program site during program hours.

• Experience with curriculum aligned with the Science of Reading (e.g., CKLA).
• New York State certification in Childhood Education.
• Knowledge and experience with social-emotional learning.
