You'll design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for satellite systems at Spire, collaborating with multiple engineering teams. Your work directly ensures mission success for our nanosatellite constellation. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on space systems with a rapid design-to-launch cycle measured in weeks.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain embedded firmware
• Collaborate with engineering functions on scoping and system design
• Resolve on-orbit and on-ground embedded systems issues
• Implement and optimize serial protocols

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field
• Mastery of Embedded C programming
• Extensive experience with FreeRTOS or similar RTOS
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with space systems or satellite technology
• Familiarity with coding standards and static analysis tools
• Experience writing Rust for embedded Linux
