Description

You will lead the development of cathode technologies for stationary energy storage, managing projects from materials selection through scale-up. You'll mentor a high-performing team and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Electrochemistry.
• 8+ years experience in battery materials with hands-on solid-state battery expertise.
• Proven experience leading cathode development programs from research through scale-up.
• Deep expertise in cathode materials (NMC, LFP, LMFP, LMO) and electrode processing.
• Strong knowledge of electrochemical testing (EIS, GITT, HPPC, CV) and characterization tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead cathode development strategy aligned with performance, cost, safety, and lifetime requirements.
• Manage end-to-end cathode R&D projects from materials selection to manufacturing scale-up.
• Lead development of cost-effective cathode chemistries for long cycle life and safety.
• Mentor and manage a high-performing cathode development team.
• Oversee transition of cathode materials from laboratory to pilot and production scale.
