💼 About This Role
You'll lead system-level mechanical integration for autonomous maritime platforms, connecting mechanical, electrical, and optical subsystems. You'll own cable routing and payload interfaces to ensure reliable, manufacturable assemblies. This role lets you drive cross-functional design reviews in a fast-paced defense tech startup.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Design mechanical solutions for electronics packaging and sensor mounts.
- Own mechanical interfaces and installation for subsystems into the vehicle assembly.
- Manage cable routing and harness design in coordination with electrical engineering.
- Create detailed design documentation including GD&T, stack-ups, and assembly drawings.
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience integrating complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
- Familiarity with EMI/thermal considerations and their mechanical implications.
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience with fast-paced prototyping environments.
- Working or expert knowledge of GD&T.
