Description

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Avionics at Rocket Lab, you will work hands-on with the Electron and Neutron launch vehicles, transitioning them from R&D to production. You will take ownership of critical projects, solve complex problems across avionics, electrical, mechanical, and software systems, and ensure hardware meets the highest reliability standards in a fast-paced, test-heavy environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years experience as a Manufacturing/Production/Process Engineer
• Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems in manufacturing
• Proven leadership and coaching experience
• Strong communication skills with ability to write clear KPIs

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of critical projects ensuring optimized production and testing processes
• Solve problems across avionics, electrical, mechanical, and software systems
• Contribute to transition of Neutron hardware from prototype to production
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances with cross-functional teams
• Build strong relationships with technicians and subject matter experts
