You'll validate project costs and manage procurement for capital construction projects at Base Power, a next-generation power company. Your analysis ensures competitive, justified pricing on contracts and major purchases, directly enabling informed financial decisions. This role combines cost engineering with sourcing in a fast-paced startup environment.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Develop independent cost estimates and benchmark bids against market data.
  • Manage RFP process for GC contracts, consultant agreements, and vendor purchases.
  • Review GC schedules of values, change orders, and cost proposals.
  • Maintain cost databases and support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Evaluate contractor qualifications and maintain approved vendor list.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • 5+ years in construction cost management, procurement, or quantity surveying.
  • Proven ability to develop independent cost estimates across project phases.
  • Experience managing competitive RFP processes for GC and consultant proposals.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts (AIA, EJCDC) and change order procedures.

โœจ Nice to Have

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency with RSMeans, Sage Estimating, or Procore.
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
