Description

You'll own the full design lifecycle of satellite payload hardware, from concept through high-volume production and on-orbit operation. You'll solve complex structural, thermal, and electromechanical problems, working on phased array antennas, gimballing parabolic antennas, actuators, and mechanisms to expand the Starlink network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Experience with CAD and FEA software packages
• 1+ years of professional experience (including internships) with mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing
• Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on-orbit operation
• Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization
• Rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform high level systems trades
• Drive holistic DFM for elegant designs with focus on cost and quality
• Perform environmental and performance testing to validate analysis
