You'll lead a net-new DevX and AI team building Shop Builder's developer surface — MCP server, CLI, SDK, and local dev environment. You'll drive delivery, mentor three engineers, and coordinate across payments, auth, and catalog teams. This role blends hands-on coding with cross-team leadership to define how developers and AI agents customize the platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Drive delivery of developer surface: MCP server, CLI, SDK, documentation pipeline.
• Lead and mentor a team of three engineers; set technical direction and run code reviews.
• Own cross-team coordination for inbound API capabilities and integration timelines.
• Ship production code on critical components alongside the team.

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a tech lead role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js with shipped APIs, CLIs, or SDKs.
• Hands-on experience building CLI tools and developer-facing workflows.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and SDK ergonomics.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in game tech, digital commerce, or headless architecture.
• Background building React component libraries or frontend platforms.
• Familiarity with LLM-generated code evaluation.
