Description
You will design systems to deliver avionics components on time and to quality standards, acting as the primary liaison between the Avionics organization and production/test teams, and driving design for manufacturability.
Requirements
- B.S. in engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including SMT, electronics rework, machining, coating, adhesives, potting
- Experience in designing tooling and fixturing
- Experience with configuration management and change control
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement, assembly, acceptance testing, and integration of avionics flight components and harnessing
- Author and maintain work instructions for complex assemblies
- Design and adapt manufacturing processes for hardware maturity using high volume and development techniques
- Integrate with design teams to drive design for manufacturability, test, and integration
- Track and investigate failures in production, test, and flight, implementing corrective actions
