💼 About This Role

You'll own Block's end-to-end sanctions compliance program, covering fiat, crypto, and emerging payment products. You'll set the multi-year strategy, lead a high-performing team, and serve as the senior external voice to regulators like OFAC. This role combines regulatory leadership with product velocity at a mission-driven fintech.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own global sanctions compliance program end-to-end
• Author and maintain company-wide sanctions policies
• Build, lead, and scale a team of sanctions professionals
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal on control integration
• Serve as senior external voice on sanctions matters to regulators

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of sanctions compliance experience
• Deep expertise in OFAC, UN, EU, and OFSI sanctions regimes
• Track record of building and leading high-performing sanctions teams
• Hands-on experience designing or overhauling sanctions screening programs at scale

✨ Nice to Have

• Advanced degree preferred
• CAMS, CGSS, or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience with ML-assisted screening tools and AI
