Description
You'll guide the development of future Raptor engines and own systems end-to-end, defining requirements, developing operations, verifying capability, and ensuring vehicle compatibility. You'll lead development testing, data review, and anomaly resolution to help enable human life on Mars.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
- 5+ years experience with pressurized fluid systems
- 5+ years experience in hardware design, manufacture, assembly, test or flight
- Understanding of thermodynamics, compressible flow, heat transfer, and structural design
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
Responsibilities
- Own system level processes and operations critical to engine function from design through flight
- Establish hardware and operational requirements for interfacing systems
- Drive development roadmap for new engine versions, converting programmatic goals into requirements
- Develop test plans, participate in test operations, and lead development testing on-site
- Communicate system capability and requirements to ensure cohesive engine/vehicle integration
