You'll lead a team building scientist-facing tools for experiment design, sample tracking, and assay data capture at an AI-first protein design company. Your work will accelerate the design-build-test-learn cycle for novel protein therapies. This role offers deep involvement in architecture and data modeling alongside people management.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a software engineering team
• Architect and deliver roadmap for lab informatics systems
• Design robust data models for protein engineering experiments
• Build backend systems, APIs, databases, and web applications

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience (including 2+ years managing engineers)
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Python, backend development, databases, APIs
• Experience building lab informatics systems or LIMS/ELN integrations

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Benchling, lab automation, or high-throughput data
• Background in mammalian or bacterial cell systems, gene editing, or protein engineering
• Frontend web development experience
