💼 About This Role
You'll be a responsible engineer for hardware design of vehicle thermal and fluid systems at Varda Space Industries. You'll develop components like tubing, pumps, and thermal straps for passive and active thermal control systems. This role offers exposure to all aspects of spacecraft analysis and design.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Conceive new thermal control concepts and drive to final hardware design.
- Derive hardware requirements and perform design trades from open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with spacecraft disciplines to design thermal/fluid systems.
- Develop CAD design, drawings, and conduct component-level analyses.
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor's in engineering with 1+ years experience in thermal/fluid or mechanical systems.
- 3D CAD skills (ideally NX) and experience translating to production intent.
- Strong heat transfer and stress first principles.
- Experience with fluid components like valves, motors, pumps.
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience with spacecraft thermal control technologies like heat pipes or pumped fluid systems.
- Experience in aerospace hardware development from concept to delivery.
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
