πΌ About This Role
You'll perform precision assembly and integration of satellite mechanism subsystems, interpreting engineering drawings and executing functional testing. You'll support building and validating deployment systems and mechanical subsystems for one of the most advanced space manufacturing programs. This hands-on role offers full relocation to Midland, TX.
π― What You'll Do
- Perform precision assembly of satellite hinge and actuator subsystems.
- Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models for integration.
- Install electrical harnesses and sensors within tight tolerances.
- Execute deployment tests, torque verification, and limit switch validation.
- Troubleshoot anomalies and perform rework on flight hardware.
π Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical or electromechanical technology.
- 2+ years of experience in precision mechanical assembly and/or electrical integration.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and multimeters.
β¨ Nice to Have
- Experience in aerospace or high-reliability hardware environments.
- Familiarity with satellite mechanisms like deployment systems or motorized actuators.
- Soldering, crimping, and harness fabrication experience (IPC standards preferred).
