Description

As a Radiation Effects Test Engineer at SpaceX, you will design and develop custom test systems to validate avionics hardware for rockets and satellites in harsh radiation environments. You'll work cross-functionally to create test solutions from the ground up, including hardware, software, and test sequences to ensure maximum reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline
• 1+ years experience in electronic hardware or software development
• 1+ years programming with Python, MATLAB, or Embedded C/C++
• Experience analyzing circuits and developing functional test plans
• Experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQs

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom test solutions for flight hardware
• Select COTS hardware or design custom PCBAs for signal measurement and load application
• Write Python automation software to interact with units under test and equipment
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test lab teams to improve reliability and yield
• Root-cause test anomalies and implement mitigations
