💼 About This Role

You'll lead key initiatives for measuring the quality and trustworthiness of Waymo's behavior evaluation portfolio. You'll develop methodologies and KPIs to ensure evaluation is efficient and scientifically rigorous, directly influencing launch decisions for the Waymo Driver.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead roadmap for evaluation quality KPIs and methodologies.
• Conduct deep dive analysis on evaluation bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on scalable solutions.
• Develop feedback loops to surface insights to stakeholders.

📋 Requirements

• Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Physics).
• PhD + 5 years or 7+ years industry experience solving data science problems.
• Expertise in advanced statistical methods (experimentation, causal inference).
• Proficiency in Python, R, and/or SQL for data analysis.

✨ Nice to Have

• PhD in quantitative field.
• Experience developing production-grade software.
• Experience as technical lead for a broad data science area.
