💼 About This Role

You'll join Waymo's Perception team to optimize model training and inference for autonomous driving. You'll improve FLOPs utilization and real-time performance of complex architectures on onboard and offboard platforms. This role offers access to millions of miles of driving data and collaboration with top research teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Optimize FLOPs utilization in model training and inference through architecture-hardware co-development
• Optimize model inference for different onboard and offboard simulation platforms
• Analyze and optimize real-time inference of complex model architectures on the critical path

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent deep learning experience
• 3+ years experience in Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision
• Experience with Python
• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or JAX

✨ Nice to Have

• MS or PhD in Machine Learning or related field
• Publications at top-tier conferences like CVPR, NeurIPS, etc.
• Experience with C++
