💼 About This Role

You'll lead the development and implementation of CNC machining processes for digital manufacturing at Protolabs. You'll translate product designs into robust manufacturing workflows, select tools and equipment, and drive continuous improvement to reduce cost and cycle time. This role offers the chance to work on high-complexity projects with a leading digital manufacturer.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead cross-disciplinary teams developing manufacturing processes.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities using data analysis and brainstorming.
• Design tooling strategies for new processes and perform process validation.
• Troubleshoot production problems and identify bottlenecks.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of CNC lathe experience
• Experience with automating CNC lathe processes
• Familiarity with GD&T and CMM inspection methods
• Able to troubleshoot machining issues and determine root cause

✨ Nice to Have

• Mill-Turn experience
• Advanced communication skills for complex technical information
• Experience with problem-solving tools like FMEA
