💼 About This Role

You'll develop autonomous flight capabilities for Skydio's drones, building core robotics algorithms and deploying them to customers in industries like inspection, public safety, and defense. You'll own end-to-end features, triage field issues, and collaborate across teams to make the autonomy system more capable and reliable.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build autonomy capabilities through cross-functional collaboration
• Develop core robotics algorithms for challenging environments
• Triage customer issues and improve system resilience
• Design, implement, and fly new motion planning strategies

📋 Requirements

• 1+ years experience writing production code for autonomous robots
• Proficiency in C++ and Python
• Experience implementing algorithms in computer vision, state estimation, or motion planning
• Strong software engineering fundamentals

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with flying robots
• Knowledge of UAS software and hardware development
• Ability to communicate concepts to non-technical audiences
