You will work closely with external game development studios to optimize performance and prototype cutting-edge game mechanics using Luau. Your insights will help shape the engine roadmap and APIs at Roblox, influencing top experiences on the platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years professional game development focused on multiplayer optimization
• Experience with Roblox/Luau (strong plus)
• Portfolio of quality Roblox games (very strong plus)
• Passion for development tools (profilers, debuggers, etc.)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor to external game studios on performance and scalability
• Build prototypes pushing engine boundaries with Luau code
• Identify and advocate for engine, performance, and tooling improvements
• Collaborate with Solutions, core engine, and Studio teams
