💼 About This Role

You'll facilitate security baked into applications throughout the software development lifecycle at Verkada, a leader in cloud physical security. You'll partner with engineering and product teams to improve product security and exceed customer expectations. Share your expertise internally and externally via conferences and blogs.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Perform architecture analysis and threat modeling of sensitive features
• Set up security tooling and secure defaults for software security
• Create and operate a bug bounty program
• Triage and recommend solutions for security bugs from various sources

📋 Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience as a security engineer or similar role
• Strong experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud provider
• Understanding of security weaknesses, exploits, attacks and mitigations
• Coding ability in Python/Go for production code and automation

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Security Development Lifecycle and Threat Modeling
• Experience with Open Policy Agent and SIEM
• Published security research or conference talks
