Description

You will lead the design and development of the Node's turbogenerator system, from conceptual design through manufacturing and deployment. You'll own system-level performance requirements, integrate components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance ocean energy technology.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar
• Extensive experience designing rotating machinery (pumps, turbines, etc.)
• 5+ years 3D CAD modeling experience
• Strong GD&T and tolerance stack-up skills
• Hands-on experience assembling tight-tolerance rotating machinery

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of turbogenerator system
• Define system-level performance requirements and design goals
• Mechanically integrate electrical generator with rotating elements
• Design components: shafts, housings, bearings, seals, turbine blades, stators
• Design for manufacturability, offshore assembly, and field serviceability
