💼 About This Role

You'll lead the physical integration and validation of Apollo's perception hardware systems. Your work ensures the robot's cameras and sensors meet rigorous performance targets. You'll tackle the most complex bottlenecks in the perception stack, from custom sensor module development to production deployment.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead physical integration of visual perception stack
  • Define specs for custom sensor modules and drive vendors
  • Architect bring-up, DVT, and EOL test plans
  • Perform hands-on ISP tuning for image quality
  • Lead high-speed video backbone bring-up and debug

📋 Requirements

  • MS/PhD in EE, Optical Eng, or related with 8+ years hands-on experience shipping vision hardware
  • Proven track record taking custom sensor modules from prototyping to mass production
  • Experience working directly with optical vendors and CMs
  • Expert-level proficiency with high-end lab equipment for signal integrity debugging

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with GMSL2/3 or FPD-Link
  • Knowledge of visual-inertial odometry
  • Scripting ability in Python/C++ for calibration validation
