You'll design and fabricate tools and fixtures to support mechanical assembly of next-generation space stations, working in a fast-paced R&D environment. Your core impact will be translating evolving build requirements into practical tooling solutions that ensure precision and quality. This role stands out for directly contributing to human-rated spacecraft development at a pioneering commercial space station company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, fabricate, and modify tools, fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing aids
• Operate manual and CNC machine tools including mills, lathes, and grinders
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to meet tight tolerances
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and propose effective solutions

📋 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker, Machinist, or Welder in a hands-on fabrication role
• Background in an R&D or prototype environment with evolving requirements
• Strong proficiency with manual and/or CNC machining equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models

• Familiarity with aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites
• Experience with CAM software or CAD modeling (SolidWorks, CATIA)
