You'll lead optical architecture decisions and design lenses for high-performance spaceborne imaging systems. You'll work with an interdisciplinary team to mature prototypes from R&D to production. Space Imaging team at Anduril Industries tackles critical security challenges.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Lead optical architecture decisions and trades for novel spaceborne systems.
  • Design lenses and optical components for high performance imaging systems.
  • Define optical performance requirements from multi-disciplinary constraints.
  • Develop and review test setups, procedures, and data for production transition.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • BS in Engineering with a concentration in Optics
  • 7+ years experience with complex opto-mechanical systems
  • Expertise in Zemax or similar optical design software
  • Experience in STOP analysis and diffraction limited imaging systems

โœจ Nice to Have

  • First principles approach to opto-mechanical problems
  • Optical component testing and system alignment experience
  • Radiometry and stray light analysis knowledge
