You'll lead the technical direction of MyCoupang, Coupang's post-purchase customer experience platform handling billions of requests weekly. Your architectural decisions will directly impact customer retention and satisfaction for tens of millions of users across Korea and Taiwan. You'll drive the system toward 99.99% availability and define long-term strategy for a high-stakes, always-on platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design multi-market abstractions for new region expansion
• Drive system reliability toward 99.99% availability
• Lead disaster recovery and capacity planning across 700+ pods
• Define long-term architecture for billion-request weekly platform

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years of software design and development in Java
• Experience building scalable, highly available systems
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems handling millions of requests
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar

✨ Nice to Have

• Backend development in Kotlin or JVM languages
• Database design with MySQL or Aurora
• Knowledge of workflow engines like Activiti or Temporal
