💼 About This Role

You'll perform thermal analysis and own thermal design across hardware development programs at a defense technology company. You'll execute first-order assessments and develop detailed analytical models to guide design architecture and support testing.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Execute hand calculations and MATLAB/Python first-order models
• Develop CFD models to predict temperatures and fluid characteristics
• Generate and maintain integrated FEMs for imaging platforms
• Perform test-model correlation testing to validate predictions
• Prepare technical reports for internal teams and external customers

📋 Requirements

• MS or higher degree in engineering or physics with focus on heat transfer
• 7+ years experience in thermal analysis or thermo-physics role
• Thermal FEA experience with STAR-CCM+, ANSYS, Icepak, or Flotherm
• Familiarity with MATLAB or Python for analytical models and data processing

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of climatic/dynamic testing and instrumentation
• CAD skills and ability to make engineering drawings
• Experience in interdisciplinary technical projects
