Description
You will lead translational oncology strategy for a diverse pipeline spanning multiple therapeutic modalities, working collaboratively with computational, AI/ML, drug design, and clinical teams. Your role involves defining the path to clinic, building biomarker and patient selection strategies, and ensuring AI-designed drugs translate into the right target product profiles.
Requirements
- PhD in Oncology or Cancer Biology or related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience
- 10+ years professional experience in pharmaceutical or biotech setting
- Proven track record in translational science, pharmacology, and biomarker development within oncology
- Deep expert-level understanding of cancer biology including oncogenic signaling pathways, tumor microenvironment, and drug resistance mechanisms
- Demonstrable success in building comprehensive translational packages (PK/PD, efficacy, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive translational strategies for oncology portfolio, establishing line-of-sight from preclinical to clinical efficacy
- Select and implement state-of-the-art in vivo and ex vivo cancer models (PDX, organoids, syngeneic, co-cultures) to test mechanism, resistance, stratification, dosing
- Develop biomarker and pharmacodynamic strategies informed by in silico predictions to secure early clinical proof-of-concept and guide patient selection
- Serve as oncology expert in computational-experimental feedback loop, collaborating with Computational Biologists and ML Engineers to interpret findings and design validation experiments
- Lead a small team of drug discovery scientists, providing scientific leadership and mentorship
