Description

As a backend engineer at Monzo, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary squad to build and support a specific part of our banking platform, from products used daily to infrastructure and security. You'll solve interesting challenges and contribute to our mission of making money work for everyone.

Requirements

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product
• Product mindset: cares about customer outcomes and data-informed decisions
• Comfortable working in a team dealing with ambiguity
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software
• Experience with strongly-typed languages (Go, Java, C, Scala, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and support a particular part of Monzo
• Work in a squad within a wider collective (Core Banking, Business Banking, Wealth, etc.)
• Design and build our in-house banking platform
• Contribute to open source software
• Make data-informed decisions to improve customer outcomes
