Description
Lead the architecture and design of high-power AC/DC and DC/DC converters for EV chargers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to production. You will work on advanced multi-level converters and grid-tie inverters, ensuring high reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- M.S. required (PhD desired) in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering
- 10+ years of experience bringing power electronics products to market
- Strong electrical/electronic design skills and system-level engineering tradeoffs
- Experience designing AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems
- Knowledge of industry standards for consumer and industrial products
Responsibilities
- Architect and design high power AC and DC systems for EV chargers
- Develop advanced soft switching 40-100 kW, up to 2000 VDC multi-level converters
- Design multi-level 100-200 kW, up to 2000 VDC four quadrant grid tie inverter
- Oversee all aspects of product design including modeling, component selection, and thermal design
- Ensure high reliability under stress conditions and extended periods
