💼 About This Role

You'll define the storage architecture and build it yourself, from prototype on commodity hardware through flight integration. You'll make foundational decisions on redundancy, replication, and fault recovery, and validate them with fault injection testing on hardware-in-the-loop testbeds.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define redundancy topology and replication strategy for storage platform
• Build storage drivers, filesystem integration, and fault recovery systems
• Validate architecture with fault injection testing on flight hardware
• Design interface contracts between storage and other subsystems

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years experience designing software systems for high reliability
• Proven ability to make and defend architectural tradeoffs in writing
• Experience at kernel, driver, or firmware level with storage systems
• Experience with copy-on-write filesystems or RAID architectures

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with distributed storage replication models (synchronous vs async)
• Experience with quorum systems or log-structured storage
