💼 About This Role

You'll lead the teams developing core flight software, GNC algorithms, and safety-critical systems for Archer's electric aircraft. You'll drive technical strategy, execution, and cross-functional alignment across software, avionics, systems engineering, and flight test. This role requires deep expertise in flight-critical software and control algorithms in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and grow the Flight Software and Algorithms organization
• Own architecture and validation of flight-critical and safety-critical software
• Oversee real-time embedded software for flight computers and avionics
• Drive GNC algorithms, state estimation, and flight-control logic

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years in flight software, embedded systems, GNC, or autonomy
• 5+ years engineering leadership managing managers and senior leaders
• Proven experience delivering safety-critical embedded software for aircraft or autonomous vehicles
• Deep understanding of control theory, estimation, and flight-control algorithms

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with eVTOL or electric propulsion systems
• Background in autonomy or AI-enabled control systems
• Prior involvement in aircraft certification programs
