Description
As a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, you will clean, process, and sterilize instruments following manufacturer recommendations, maintain logs to meet regulatory standards, and ensure a clean clinical environment. You'll work 1-2 days per week and one Saturday monthly.
Requirements
- Grade 12 education required
- Successful completion of recognized Sterile Processing Technician Certificate Program or MDRT course
- Demonstrated experience with reprocessing equipment (washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers, low temperature sterilizer)
- Physical endurance to meet job demands
- Ability to organize and prioritize workflow
Responsibilities
- Perform instrument cleaning, processing, and sterilization per manufacturer recommendations
- Maintain appropriate logs to meet regulatory and sterilization standards
- Operate and perform routine maintenance and quality control of MDR equipment
- Clean, sanitize, and stock exam, waiting, procedure, and recovery rooms
- Prepare instruments and supplies for storage and distribution
