Description

You will lead the design and project management of complex structural projects for NCDOT, local municipalities, and private clients. You'll coordinate design efforts across multiple disciplines, manage budgets and schedules, and supervise staff and subcontractors to ensure quality deliverables.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• PE License in NC required
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering and/or project management
• Excellent communication, written, oral, and client relation skills
• Strong organization and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts
• Research local/state regulations as they pertain to projects
• Make presentations before elected officials and advisory boards, attend conferences, and participate in interviews
• Prepare technical analysis within specialist areas such as load ratings, bridge design, and finite element analysis
• Manage project cost control, budget control, and quality assurance/quality control
• Direct and manage budgeting and execution of projects including supervision of assigned staff and subcontractors
