Description

You will support the Naval Postgraduate School Physics Department in conducting advanced experimental research on unmanned underwater vehicle technologies. Your work contributes directly to Navy-sponsored research by executing experiments, analyzing data, developing optimized designs, and producing high-quality scientific documentation.

Requirements

• 1+ years of STEM-based experimental research experience
• 1+ years with CAD and/or 3D printing
• 1+ years with designing and executing experiments
• 6+ months with laboratory work involving UUVs
• Master's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Conduct research studies evaluating UUV feasibility, performance, and system features
• Execute experimental research in laboratory and field environments
• Perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results
• Develop optimized designs and engineering recommendations
• Produce scientific reports, research documentation, and academic papers
