Description

You will design and own the data foundations that power Klaviyo's Analytics AI engine, building resilient pipelines and analytics models that turn billions of events into trusted, actionable insights for customers. You'll lead complex projects across multi-component systems and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering with 4+ years in data engineering
• Deep proficiency in large-scale SQL and data modeling for analytics
• Strong programming in Python and familiarity with Airflow, EMR, Spark/pyspark
• Experience with modern data platforms and processing frameworks
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and own systems in production

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and core tables for customer-facing analytics and AI models
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and AI/ML teams to define metrics and data contracts
• Transform workflows by integrating AI for testing, anomaly detection, and data summarization
• Mentor engineers in data engineering best practices and system design
• Evolve technical standards for data modeling, performance, and reliability
