You'll develop and maintain global taxonomies and ontologies for DoorDash's New Verticals catalog, spanning grocery, convenience, and retail. Your work will directly impact millions of items and the shopping experience across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo. This role offers high visibility and cross-functional collaboration with ML, product, and operations teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain metadata schema and attribute systems
• Design taxonomies across consumer domains like grocery and apparel
• Identify gaps in catalog quality and discoverability
• Partner cross-functionally to operationalize taxonomy solutions globally

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years developing complex taxonomies or ontologies
• Experience with taxonomy management tools like Graphite or PoolParty
• Master's degree in Library and Information Science, Linguistics, or Philosophy

• Experience with AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor
• Proficiency in SQL
• Familiarity with graph-based systems (RDF, SPARQL)
