💼 About This Role

You'll lead the Story Management Desk at a CBS affiliate, guiding content creators in story discovery and presentation across all platforms. Your core impact will be driving coverage decisions, breaking news response, and team development to build a sustainable local news operation. This role offers the opportunity to transform legacy newsroom workflows into a modern, multi-platform approach.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Oversee daily coverage decisions and reporter assignments
• Determine story format and timeline for each platform
• Lead regular story check-ins and plan upcoming coverage
• Ensure competitive, engaging content for all platforms

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field
• 5+ years of journalism experience in a local newsroom or digital production
• Superior news judgment and ability to make fast editorial decisions under pressure
• Experience managing a team of journalists
